Lyn’s therapy approach with adults draws on evidence-based therapies Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based therapies to assist with a wide variety of issues in adults of all ages including anxiety, depression, stress, performance anxiety, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, grief and loss and improving overall wellbeing.
Lyn has contributed to three research trials addressing adolescent sleep issues and worked with children, adolescents and parents at the Flinders University Child and Adolescent Sleep Clinic to assess and treat paediatric sleep problems. Through this she has developed a particular interest and expertise in helping individuals across the lifespan overcome sleep issues and disorders.
Utilising her years of experience working with families, children and adolescents, Lyn is able to support parents experiencing family issues by encouraging positive, strength-based parenting practices and emotion coaching to help them better manage their child’s behaviour and emotion regulation and develop happier family functioning.
Lyn strongly believes in the importance of a well-matched client/therapist relationship, and tailors her work with clients to address presenting issues as well as helping clients develop insight and self-confidence to make meaningful changes in their life to achieve longer-term benefits. Lyn is committed to continually broadening her therapy toolkit, so she can provide her clients with the best therapy approach for their needs.
