Li Yuan Sip

Client Support Officer

Li Yuan Sip is a valued member of our Client Support Team.

Li recently completed her Honours in Psychology under the Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne and is currently completing her Masters in Educational Psychology at the University of Melbourne.

Li grew up in Malaysia and moved to Australia in 2019 to pursue tertiary studies in psychology. Li’s professional journey is enriched by a diverse range of experiences. She has volunteered with Friends for Good, a preventative organization supporting adults experiencing loneliness and social isolation. She has also served as an academic tutor at the University of Melbourne, as a Clinical Engagement Associate at Intellect, a Singapore-based telehealth provider, and interned at a psychology centre in Malaysia, gaining experience in co-facilitating play therapy sessions with neurodivergent children.

Li’s particular interest and focus is to increase the accessibility of culturally responsive and appropriate mental health support among culturally and linguistically diverse individuals in Australia by pursuing a career in practice, research, and education as a psychologist. She aspires to establish safe and validating relationships built upon trust and empathic understanding with all the clients she works with.

Li is a passionate advocate for the destigmatization of mental ill-health. Her work is driven by a strong belief in the importance of increasing the accessibility of appropriate support for individuals across diverse backgrounds. Her values of compassion, diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just words, but principles that guide her work in all aspects.

“My work at Mindview as a client support officer has been immensely fulfilling as I get to apply my academic learning and the expertise I’ve built up from prior experiences as the first point of contact and support for all new and existing clients. It’s also extremely meaningful to be helping others receive the holistic care and support that they rightfully deserve. It’s also lovely to work alongside the inclusive and professional team at Mindview, where I find myself learning new things and picking up new skills and competencies all the time.”
