Dr Niamh Long, pronounced ‘Neeve’, is a registered clinical psychologist with extensive experience in providing evidence based
interventions to adults and adolescents. She has worked across a wide range of mental health settings over the past 10 years.

Niamh completed her Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology degree at University College Cork, Ireland in 2000 and undertook her Masters
of Science in Work and Organisational Psychology at the University of Hull, UK in 2003. Following on from that, she also completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Limerick, Ireland in 2009.

Niamh is a member of AHPRA.

Niamh currently works as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the Psychological Trauma Recovery Service (PTRS) in the Austin Hospital. In addition, she is a AHPRA approved supervisor.

Niamh draws upon a range of intervention approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T), Schema Therapy, Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Mindfulness based approaches. She strongly believes in the importance of a well-matched client-therapist relationship. She recognises that each person is unique and deserves a tailored approach to address their particular goals and life difficulties.
