Luke Carrangis - Clinical Psychologist

Founder of Mindview Psychology, Luke Carrangis is a registered clinical psychologist with a broad range of experience providing psychological support to individuals with various life situations. Luke completed his Bachelor of Psychology degree at Flinders University, SA in 2007. He undertook his Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Murdoch University, WA in 2008. Luke combines a range of integrative approaches including CBT, Schema therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. Luke strongly believes in the healing powers of a well-matched client/therapist relationship, and acknowledges that as each person is unique, the treatment plan and approach should be tailored to address their particular needs and situation. Luke currently holds the following professional memberships

More about Luke

Something people are often confused by is my Greek surname. “You don’t look greek!” they say. Actually, I was born in Bangkok, but I was adopted into a Greek/Australian family when I was 3 months old, so that explains the surname. I grew up in Adelaide, SA but now call Melbourne my home.   I’ve been told more than once that I’m an easy person to confide in, consequently I’ve always had a lot of friends and family come to me with challenges or seeking advice. For this reason, being a psychologist seemed to feel right for me. While I must confess, it is an incredibly challenging occupation, the reward of joining people on a path of self discovery and growth is one that makes it all worthwhile. I’m pleased to say that almost everyday I am inspired by my client’s journeys. They make me believe that there is hope for everyone, no matter how severe their challenges, to lead a fulfilling and happy life.

Lynette Moseley - Psychologist

Lyn Moseley graduated with a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from Flinders University in 2008. As a registered psychologist, she has provided psychological support to adults, families, children and adolescents in private practice and educational settings. 

Lyn’s therapy approach with adults draws on evidence-based therapies Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based therapies to assist with a wide variety of issues in adults of all ages including anxiety, depression, stress, performance anxiety, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, grief and loss and improving overall wellbeing.

Utilising her years of experience working with families, children and adolescents, Lyn is able to support parents experiencing family issues by encouraging positive, strength-based parenting practices and emotion coaching to help them better manage their child’s behaviour and emotion regulation and develop happier family functioning.

Lyn has contributed to three research trials addressing adolescent sleep issues and worked with children, adolescents and parents at the Flinders University Child and Adolescent Sleep Clinic to assess and treat paediatric sleep problems. Through this she has developed a particular interest and expertise in helping individuals across the lifespan overcome sleep issues and disorders.

Lyn strongly believes in the importance of a well-matched client/therapist relationship, and tailors her work with clients to address presenting issues as well as helping clients develop insight and self-confidence to make meaningful changes in their life to achieve longer-term benefits. Lyn is committed to continually broadening her therapy toolkit, so she can provide her clients with the best therapy approach for their needs.

More about Lyn

Lyn moved to Melbourne mid-2018 and is delighted to be setting up practice in the CBD with Mindview Psychology. She is enjoying getting to know this vibrant city she now calls home!

You may have noted above that Lyn studied music at university. She had a wonderful first career as a secondary school music teacher and has such fond memories of music-making with her talented students. She continues to express herself through music (although rarely in sessions!) and believes whole-heartedly in the power of the arts to foster well-being.

Dr Filia Papadimitriou - Clinical and Counselling Psychologist

With over 15 years of experience in helping children/ adolescents, adults, and couples Filia has worked in schools, universities, and hospitals. Also, since 1999 she has worked in private practice and in recent times she has developed a particular interest in helping couples. She is very passionate about using Gottman’s couples therapy approach and has completed Gottman Couples therapy training : Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and is undergoing certification. Filia has worked in both Melbourne and Brisbane. Filia’s clinical approach is based on the principles of client-centred therapy (integrity, respect, authenticity, congruence, and genuineness), and uses a number of evidence based interventions such as: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, EMDR, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Gottman’s Couples Therapy. Dr Niamh Long - Clinical Psychologist

Dr Niamh Long, pronounced ‘Neeve’, is a registered clinical psychologist with extensive experience in providing evidence based interventions to adults and adolescents. She has worked across a wide range of mental health settings over the past 10 years. Niamh completed her Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology degree at University College Cork, Ireland in 2000 and undertook her Masters of Science in Work and Organisational Psychology at the University of Hull, UK in 2003. Following on from that, she also completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Limerick, Ireland in 2009. Niamh is a member of AHPRA. Niamh currently works as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the Psychological Trauma Recovery Service (PTRS) in the Austin Hospital. In addition, she is a AHPRA approved supervisor. Niamh draws upon a range of intervention approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T), Schema Therapy, Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Mindfulness based approaches. She strongly believes in the importance of a well-matched client-therapist relationship. Janine Petrass - Clinical Psychologist

Janine is a qualified Clinical Psychologist who uses a collaborative, empathic, and respectful approach to treating a wide variety of issues in adults of all ages including anxiety, depression, stress, persistent worry, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, assertiveness, anger, addictions/substance use, and sexual abuse or other trauma.  Janine also has considerable experience working with more serious illnesses such as Bipolar Disorder and Psychosis. Janine shows flexibility in her therapeutic approach, using sound clinical judgement to determine the most appropriate techniques to meet client needs and treatment goals.  Because each person’s experiences and challenges are different, each person’s treatment will be individualized according to their needs.  Janine draws her techniques and strategies from evidence-based therapies including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Schema Therapy.  Mindfulness techniques and relaxation strategies are incorporated as appropriate. Since graduating from the University of Melbourne, Janine has worked in both the private and public mental health on the Mornington Peninsula.  Before training as a clinical psychologist, she worked for many years as a medical scientist in both Australia and the U.S.A.
